Survivors Call on Pennsylvania Legislators to Reform Statute of Limitation Laws

Children must be protected

Survivors of Sexual Abuse Call for Help and Assistance

Hold Perpetrators Accountable for Their Crimes

Hold Institutions and Officials Accountable for Their Complicity in Cover Ups

What

Pennsylvania Rep. Mark Rozzi leads the call to reform archaic statute of limitation (SOL) laws that fail to protect children and fail to hold child sexual predators accountable. He calls on legislators and Catholic Bishops to help all victims.

And Rep. Rozzi wants SOL laws that hold predators accountable for their crimes and hold those complicit in hiding crimes to be held accountable. Rep. Rozzi calls us a rally.

When

Tuesday

June 12, 2018

3 pm to 4 pm

Where

Pennsylvania State Capitol

Harrisburg PA

WHO

Rep. Mark Rozzi, local and national SNAP leaders, and survivors from a number of religious and institutional settings.

Why

Rep. Rozzi will ask the PA House and Senate for laws that are the "Real Deal" a name he has given to his proposed legislation, SB 261. He calls for elimination of both criminal and civil statute of limitation laws. He also calls for a two year window for sexual abuse crimes of the past and presently outside current SOL laws.

Rep. Rozzi asks the community to contact your legislators and have them support this law.   To find your legislators:  www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegistator
